Day 2 of our trip started with a yummy breakfast at Old European and then a quick tour around UI (my school) and stopped in to see some people I used to work with. There are only a few people there now-many have moved on, or retired. Most of my favorites were still there tho-Dan, DeeDee, Barb., and Shawna. I am SO sad I didn't take a picture with them! It was so much fun to see them and it made me really miss my job. I loved working in the financial aid office.

Future Vandals?
After UI we went to the park to meet up with our friends Jake and Jovane. They are the only friends we have left still living in the Pullman/Moscow area. It was so much fun to see them. We were able to chat while the kids played. We really love them and again-SO SAD we didn't get a picture with them.
After Moscow we headed for Spokane. We had to take the kids to the White Elephant store. It is this CRAZY store that has EVERYTHING! We could wander around there for hours.
Too bright for a good picture.
After the white elephant we went to Papa Johns to get pizzas to take to the Ronald McDonald House. We had scheduled to take dinner in to the people staying there. I was so excited to show the girls where we stayed when they were born.
What I was not prepared for was how emotional I would get. It was the weirdest thing. As soon I walked in and smelled the smells in there it was like I was transferred back 12 years. I was overwhelmed thinking about all of the people who are there now going through the same things we did. I was overcome with gratitude for everything we were blessed with during that time of our lives-especially all of the good people that did so much for us. I remember how much I hated being there but also being so grateful that we had somewhere to go. And now I look back with such love for the Ronald McDonald House and all those who make it possible. Most of all I am full of gratitude for 4 healthy beautiful children!
Syd thought she was so funny trying on my bra.
