These babies are very mischievous. Every day they come up with a new plan to break free. We have had to move several toys out because they use them to stand on to get over the gate. We have had to bolt the gate to the walls and floor because they have worked together to tip it over a couple of times. We have had to take all of the knobs off our entertainment center because they pull the drawers open and climb into them. They also open the doors and hang on them which has made it so that several won't close.
Yesterday I had to remove all of the blinds in the living room because I found Syd all tangled up in the cords. She had pushed the chair over to the high chair and climbed up the chair and then into the high chair. that made her tall enough to reach the cords that I wound around and around the blinds to make it so they couldn't reach them.
One day Brett came home and found our living room completely empty. I moved all of the chairs out and the barstools because dalton almost tipped one over on Syd. Syd can climb up the high chairs now so those were gone too. He looked puzzled and then tried to go in to our bedroom. The door was locked. He said, "why is the door locked?"
I said, "because while I was pulling Sydney off of the kitchen table, dalton went into our bathroom and was splashing in the toilet. To get in our room now you have to go outside and then through the exterior door."
He was very bothered and said, "we shouldn't have to do all of this. What do normal people do when their kids do these things?"
My reply, "NORMAL people don't have twins"!!!!

Just how big are Dalton's feet?
Poor kid. This is from Dalton's BRAND new shoes I got him. Size 6/7. Looks like he's going to be big just like his namesake! (My cousin Dalton who was the only kid on his tackle football team who was not allowed to tackle because he was so much bigger than the other kids)

piggies
Just a few cute pics I wanted to share. One of the young women in our ward is taking a photography class and needed to take a picture of a kid learning to walk. So, she asked if she could borrow Syd and Dalton. Even though they have been walking for a long time now, we tried to make it look like they needed my help. I think they turned out pretty cute. The main reason I wanted to show them is that this is the first time I put Sydney's hair in pig tails. She looked SO cute in them. She is still very blonde. It is fun to have 3 girls with 3 different colors of hair.

1st day of 2nd grade
The day after we got back from Utah the girls started school. Where did the summer go? It went by so fast! Where did the last 7 years go? How could my tiny 2 and 3 lb. babies be in the second grade? I don't like that kids grow up AT ALL! Have you heard the Taylor Swift song called Never Grow Up? Makes me cry every time.
I love these girls SO much. They are pretty close to perfect:)

Perfect New Baby
Speaking of new members of our family...
Right in the middle of the two weddings, Rachel had her baby. We are so glad to have a new boy cousin and he is ADORABLE! We were in Salt Lake when he was born so Brett went to Ogden to meet him. We were so glad that Brett could go. I was so sad to not be there but didn't want to haul my 4 kids to Odgen and try to keep them entertained in the car at the hospital.
We love you baby Kolton and can't wait to meet you!

Chance & McKenzie
One week after Jade's wedding, Chance and McKenzie got married in the Salt Lake Temple.
Here is a picture of Chance at my wedding. He also looks too young to be married. Where does the time go?
Kenzie made the CUTEST skirts, hair bows, and braclets for the girls to wear.
Cousin Lexi holding Syd.
Sundee decorated this wedding as well and it was very elegant. She is so talented and I was amazed at how she made both weddings so beautiful and different from each other.
These were such a cute idea that I had to take a picture of them. These are things that they wrote down that they love about each other. They really are PERFECT for each other.
We Love our new Aunt Kenzie!
Tanner taking a violin break
Syd thinks her shoe is a car to push around
Dalton looking for trouble
My 5 cousins played the violin the whole night and it sounded BEAUTIFUL. I am always amazed at their talent.
I didn't get very many pictures because the kids were SO naughty. We couldn't keep them out of the kitchen and they were trying to pull table clothes off of tables, run out the door every time it was opened, and go around begging strangers for food. It was exhausting keeping them out of trouble.
We drove 2200 miles in 8 days for the two weddings. By the time we got home (at 4:30 in the morning after the Delta reception) we felt like we had been hit by a train. Took a few weeks to recover. We were so glad that we could be there for all of the fun and we love the two newest members of our family.
Jade & Bailey's wedding
My youngest brother Jade got married on August 11th in the St. George Temple. It's hard to believe that he could be old enough to get married.
Here he is just 12 short years ago at our wedding. I remember he spent the whole time at the Temple climbing the trees. He is such a fun boy and is always looking for an adventure.
Their reception was outside in my parent's back yard. We spent the day setting up and these cousins had such a fun time playing in the yard. They had sucker stained faces and sunburns by the time the reception started!

Such a fun sprinkle cake!
Check out this beautiful quilt my Grandma Dalton made. She makes them for all her grandchildren who get married in the temple (8 for 8 so far). Can you imagine the time that must have taken? She is amazing.
The Happy Couple
My Aunt Sundee did all of the decorations and it was beautiful!
So much fun! The chinese lanterns were a favorite. My parent's yard was so beautiful.
She looks happy now, but these were the ONLY pictures she smiled in. She was a stinker.
A very cute stinker.
Bishop and the girls.
They love him. Well, Madi and Saige do anyway. I love that you can see Brett's reflection in the window trying to get Syd to hold still!
Very Pretty Girls
They have SO much fun together!
Syd still being difficult!
I love that in every picture, Dalton is watching her. He gets very concerned if she is crying.

The food was delicious. Mini Pies, 7 layer dip, pulled pork sandwiches on my mom's homemade rolls, carameled apples, and lemonade.
Love my Grandparents
Enjoying the yummy food!
One week from their wedding!
Stef, Aunt Helen, and I
Ok. Look at Dalton's face. He fell into the squash patch (the one Syd was playing in in the picture above) and must have had some kind of allergic reaction. His face looked terrible! He spent the rest of the night sitting on Bryce's lap and we were both thankful for the break. When Bryce gave him back to me he said, "You better double pamper him tonight. He's had a lot of lemonade!"
Bryce knows what it is like to have twins so he is always willing to hold one. Dalton loved him. Of course, if you fed him pie and lemonade he would love you too!
Best Buds. Cole loved hanging with the pretty girls. He is SO CUTE!

Dalton showing off his button. He loves showing it to people.
Brett and I after a LONG night of chasing babies
All of the pictures below are from the reception the following night in Summit. The kids LOVED decorating the car. They thought they were so cool and that they were keeping the biggest secret in the history of secrets. Mia ran up to Jade and told him, then ran off laughing and a little bit scared. It was a lot of fun.
We love our Uncle Jade and our new Aunt Bailey!
