February 2017 Random
The youth in our stake were treated to a very special fireside with the parents of "Kisses for Kycee". I was SO sad I couldn't go but they said it was amazing. Our YW got a picture with them afterwards.
Someone in Bakersfield contacted me and asked me to send a picture of my kids with their stockings. They were doing a special project for Sister Newman-the lady who made us all stockings in our Bakersfield (Stockdale) ward. I had to go dig them out of storage but I was so glad someone was paying tribute to Sister Newman. She was so kind to everyone and wanted everyone to have a stocking.
Here is Syd coloring with Winston the Whale-the class "pet" they had to take care of for the weekend. Thankfully their pet was stuffed!
S&D in front of the Richfield Wildcat at one of the ball games we went over to.
Oh man-my dad loves to hang people over the stairs. I WILL NEVER FORGET the day he hung my mom upside down over the stairs. I was sure he was going to drop her!
Blurry picture but look at the pure joy on my dads face. Kid at heart.
Little Red Chair-February 16, 2017
This was seriously one of the happiest days of my life. Long story but EVERY SINGLE TIME I would go to Grandpa's house I would ask Grandpa when he was going to make me a little red chair. He would say, "Never". Then the next time I would ask how it was coming along and he would roll his eyes at me. This went on for years. In Feb. I was talking to Grandma and she said quietly, "don't say anything but go look out in the greenhouse. I went out and he had all of these parts and tools laying out for a bunch of red chairs. I made my heart swell. He really does love us-doesn't show it much but this day he showed it in a big way!
Then the day he gave me one Aunt Sharron showed up so he gave one to her for her grandkids. I am so happy to have this picture of the two of them together.
Valentines Day 2017
While Brett and the girls were skiing in Park City Dalton, Sydney, and I decided to get our Valentines and Valentine boxes ready. We printed our class list and got to work. This is good writing practice for them and I can get Dalton to do it because there is candy involved!
Syd picked ring pops to give out.
Dalton picked Skittles.
Lightening McQueen Valentines
I made the mistake of letting them look online for ideas for boxes. They picked some pretty elaborate ones that took ALL DAY to make. They turned out really cute though!
Dalton picked a shark and he was very specific about how he wanted the mouth. He wanted the kids to be afraid to stick their hands in there!
Syd picked this cat and she turned out pretty cute. It wasn't hard to make-just took a long time.
We sent Brett a picture to show him what we had been doing all day. The littles get sad when they don't get to go skiing so we had to make their day fun too.
I got to go help with their Valentine party at school so these pictures are on

Tinsley's mom had a fun game-pin the lips on the lady. Dalton and Syd were both cracking me up. They were using their other hand to fill around to find the poster.
He almost pinned them on me!
Not even close! Good thing she turned around!
Madi and Saige were 'too old' to do Valentines this year {insert picture of me crying}.
However, they did take candy for everyone because they aren't too old for candy!
We also got some fun Valentines cards. Grandma and Grandpa Dalton kicked our Valentines. Lots of candy on our front porch!
Grandpa and Grandma Remund send McDonalds gift cards. We used them to get ice cream when we were at all of the ball games in Richfield.
Our Michigan cousins are looking so grown up!
I'd pay more than $.25 for a kiss from our Florida cousin!
