Happy Halloween!

No matter how well thought out and planned
Our life looks like something you'd find in Suessland

There's whosits and whatsits all over the floor
There's bibs, burp clothes, and diapers galore

It's cereal for dinner and playtime-what's that?
Life would be more fun if mom was a cat in a hat

But she's more like the fish, always smothering fun
Barking orders all day like, "HURRY" and "RUN"!

Most days are crazy and she's all tuckered out
However, this is what life is really about

It's not about always keeping the house clean
It's not about trying to stay fit and lean

You see, she has more that just things one and two
With brown and red hair-none of them blue

Thing 1 is just as sweet as can be
She's helpful and acts very motherly

Thing 2 likes to snuggle and makes you feel good
She almost always does what she should

Thing 3-we're not sure yet what will be her style
But she can melt your heart with one sweet little smile

Then there's little brother-we'll call him Thing 4
There's never been a boy that has been loved more

So, even with motherhood and the chaos it brings
I'm SO VERY THANKFUL for all 4 of my 'Things"!

4 Months Old

We had our 4 month old check up and shots today. We aren't sure why but both babies threw up (big time) as soon as they got there. It was awful. Not like baby spit up either-it was super stinky and all over the waiting room-embarrassing!
Dalton weighed 15 lbs. 6 oz.
Syd weighed 13 lbs. 1 oz.
I can't remember for sure what their percentiles were. I think Dalton was around 50 for weight and higher than that for height. Syd was around 33 for both. I've never cared for or paid much attention to percentiles.
Shots are always so sad. I hate when they cry so hard that they stop breathing. Thankfully, Brett was able go with me. When we lived in Pullman, I often went by myself and now I don't know how I did that!

Parent/Teacher conference

Last week we had Parent/Teacher conference. The girls are doing great. Madisen was asked to write something about herself. On two different papers she wrote, "My family is big"!
On this paper she wrote, "My uncle is coming on November 2"!
I almost started crying. We are all so excited to pick Chance up next week. It can't come soon enough!

BIG improvement!

Brett and I have been married 11 years now and we finally decided to buy some furniture. The only furniture we have ever purchased has come from yard sales. It has looked like we are either moving in or out for the past 2 years. There is nothing hanging on our walls and several rooms have no furniture in them! This is what our wall looked like before. That is one small tv on one giant wall! Yep-that is the tv we had in college. It is the TV we got at a Wal-mart Black Friday event. Kelsi was with us and went running to the back of the store to make sure we got one! It was a BIG purchase for us back then and we have been a little sad to see it go. Also, the table it is sitting on provided hours of entertainment for the girls when they were babies. They used to lay under it and giggle together. We can't get rid of it yet-too many memories!
This is what it looks like now-Big improvement.
Thanks Dad for hauling it and your trailer all the way from Vegas for us. We appreciate you so much. Also,  thanks Powell, Jess, Mom, and Stef for painting the wall for me. It would not have been done without you.

Sydney wants to say something

We aren't sure what she is trying to tell us but it sure is cute!

Big D rolls over

I didn't get a video of him doing it but I did get one of him trying really hard!
He rolled from back to belly on 10-11-11.
P.S. We all call him Big D. All of the time. I hope he doesn't have a complex later in life because of it. He is just such a big guy and we LOVE it. When M & S were little they were SO small for so long and we celebrated every ounce they gained. I remember thinking how fun it would be to have a BIG Chubby baby. I wouldn't say he is Fat-just big. He has very long arms, fingers, and toes. He is super tall. He has dimples in his elbows that I could eat. We all love him so much!

Nursery

Here are some pictures of the baby nursery. A big thanks to Richard & Laurel for helping me pick out paint, to my mom for making the super cute curtains, and to Kelsi for helping me get it all hung up and finished.
Almost Done! Just a few pictures to hang.

I can't wait for them to be sleeping through the night so they can move into their new room!

When you are hungry enough...

...even your sister can taste good!
 Dalton eating Syd: August 2011

Another Deja Vu moment:
Saige eating Madi-January 2005.

Saige=Monkey

When Rachel was here, Brett took everyone to the beach. Saige found this rope and decided she wanted to try to climb it. Brett said she went up and down it 4 times. She is SO strong! Brett had to do it after she did. He said it was hard and it was really high at the top. He said that all of the big guys that were down there working out on the beach watched Saige with amazement!

Blessing Day-Sept. 4

We had a very nice Blessing Day for the twins. We were able to have so many friends and family there to support us. We are so lucky.

Brett was able to bless Beau and Maggie's baby (Jack) that same day as well. I game him a hard time about keeping all of the names straight. I told him that I did not want to come home from church with a little girl named Jack! He did a great job on all 3.
There was lots of food. LOTS. Thanks to everyone who helped make that meal happen.

We have the best friends in all of the world! LOVE THEM.

We love the Hubbles-they are the BEST neighbors!

 LOTS of fun!
 Beautiful Baby
She is wearing the same dress I wore to be blessed in.

 Such a cute boy!
