Sickies

About an hour before Chance and Kenzie left Syd threw up. I wasn't in the room at the time and I thought that she just choked on something (she does that a lot). Well, in the next 24 hours she threw up 20 more times. The next night they were both throwing up and between the two of them, someone was throwing up every 15 minutes. I laid on the floor between the two of their cribs and jumped up every time I heard the retching. It lasted a week and a half between all of us and by the time it was over I was completely exhausted! It made me SO grateful for the times that we are not sick. I can barely keep up when we are all healthy so it really made me count my blessings and be thankful for the times that we are all healthy. It also made me so thankful for my girls. They stayed home from school one day to help me because I couldn't do it by myself when they were puking at the same time.

We watched a lot of "shows" those days and now they are tv addicts. Trying to break them of it now.

Visitors!

Have I mentioned before that we LOVE to have visitors? If not, consider yourselves ALL invited.
Chance and Kenzie came during their Spring Break and we had so much fun. I didn't take many pics but I did get some of us eating ice cream at Dewars. Thanks SO SO much for coming guys.

The funniest thing that happened while they were here is: we were at the park and we had both the bikes and the golf cart. The babies wanted to ride the golf cart home instead of sitting in the bike trailer so Saige asked if she could ride in it. She climbed in and Brett took off and did a crazy turn on the basketball court and flipped the bike trailer over...with Saige in it. She was fine but it was crazy to watch!

Spring has Sprung

These pictures are old now but I wanted to post them anyway. All of the blossoms are gone now and it is starting to feel like summer time. YUCK!
This picture was taken on President's day in February. It is the view from my front porch. It's so pretty and I wish it would last longer. The only bad thing is that these trees are surrounded by bees. If you are standing on the porch you can hear their loud buzzing sounds.
Both of these pictures are from the tree in my front yard.

 Lettuce from the garden.
I LOVE having a winter garden and we got some great carrots, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, radishes, potatoes, and cilantro.

Our peach trees look beautiful when they have blossoms. I can't wait to have big, juicy peaches this year.

This little boy LOVES being outside. He gets MAD when we drag him back inside.

And last but not least, my favorite thing about spring is being with my kids outside.

Happy Birthday Brett!

Brett turned 35 in March. We decided to celebrate by skipping violin lessons and taking him out to dinner...with the babies! It was the first time we had taken them to a restaurant. They did pretty good but it was a good thing that it was a Tuesday night and they weren't very busy at Chilis.

 Not thrilled about turning 35.

Me laughing at Kelsi's gift to Brett. Good one Kelsi!!
Brett did get a GREAT present. He bought a boat on his birthday and he is SUPER excited about it. He's wanted one FOREVER! It was a great deal on craigslist and we are splitting it with the Woodruffs. It's going to be a busy summer at our house so everyone needs to get down her and have some FUN!
