Hiking with Kelsi and girls-August 2016

While Kelsi was here we were also able to spend some time in Bryce. We didn't actually pay the money and drive into the park-we did all of the free stuff surrounding it. We did a hike in Red Canyon first and it was the perfect amount for the kids. They had so much fun climbing up all of the rocks and smelling the trees that smelled like butterscotch. It was just a fun day to be together.

Red Canyon

I love the hoodoos. So cool looking.

Mossy Cave Hike

We drove a little past Bryce to do the Mossy Cave Hike. It was a good one for kids too and there was a little waterfall that we got to stop and play in for a while.

Kelsi has a friend in Kalamazoo from Tropic so we drove into town so Kelsi could say that she had been there. We ate our lunch at the park and while the kids were playing on the playground Syd had an unfortunate encounter with a bee. It stung her on the bottom lip. It immediately swelled up SO big. We loaded the kids back up in the car and stopped at Clark's to get some Benadryl. This picture was taking after it started going down. She was pretty self-conscious about it so I am surprised she let me take a picture. She kept saying, "I don't want Dalton to look at me."

We drove back to Ruby's to let the kids look through the rock shop and get some ice cream. It was such a fun day!

Kelsi's visit-August 2016

In August Kelsi and the girls were able to come out for a visit. They had a wedding in Denver and then drove to our house for a few days. It was fun to show them around Circleville. We spent a lot of time on the golf cart, the playground, Stan's, and the dairy. Charli wasn't sure if she like the calves or not but Avery did.

Braces-August 2016

Just before we started school and before our trip to Bear Lake the girls got their braces on. Saige's first set and Madi's second. We were so grateful that Aunt Kelsi came in the night before so she could watch Dalton and Sydney. It was a long appointment and our ortho. is in Cedar so it would have been a very long day for them.
The girls did great. They were sore for a few days and sad they can't eat sticky candy for awhile but it won't be long and they will be off and they will be back to eating all varieties of candy!
