The trees on main street were SO pretty this year.
Moving in-messy!
We slept on our mattress in the living room until we could find everything and put it together.
Funny story about the cats. Brett took a bunch of boxes out to the garbage pit on the flat. Slick had been over here and had chased the black cat (Stormfur) and he hid up under the truck. We couldn't find him for a week. The kids had been praying and praying and I finally told them that sometimes our prayers aren't answered and we needed to accept the fact that he wasn't coming back.
The next time Brett went out to take more boxes one of the kids kept telling him that they could hear something meowing. Sure enough they found the black cat out there. Super skinny but alive. The kids were SO EXCITED!
They brought it back and his brother-greystripe was not thrilled that he was back. It took them a few weeks to stop fighting.

Bailey bought these fun hair towels for the girls.
I've been practicing on Syd's hair. This is a rope braid. I thought it looked pretty good but when I finished she told me that it wasn't as good as aunt Stefi's. Story of my life!
We hired some people to paint the upstairs so we could get moved in faster but then we had to paint the basement. It took a long time but we got it eventually.
I looked out the window one day and there was a skunk! So Brett went to get his gun and shot it!
A couple of days later the buzzards came by to eat it.
D crashed. We were all very tired from all the move stuff.

Garden
I took the kids out to the cemetery after Memorial Day. We wandered all over and saw our family members graves. It was a beautiful day. The next week I saw a sign at the post office that said to be careful at the cemetery because there are so many rattlesnakes. If I had known we would have never gone out there!
I found these next two pictures on grandma's ipad and sent them to myself. They are both so cute. This one is of my cousins at Ashtin's wedding. I LOVE these guys. They are so much fun as you can see.
