The Plan

Tonight at bedtime I had to do some punishing. Lately the girls have not been obeying AT ALL. So, tonight (after warning them several times) I took away their bedtime animals: Kitty for Madi and cow and horse for Saige. They cried for a few minutes and then I could hear them talking and thought it might be worth listening in. Boy was I right! This was the conversation I heard:

S: I want my horse and cow (still crying)
M: We need a plan
S: What's the plan? (stops crying)
M: We'll take Dad's scriptures away and hide them tomorrow. Then we will take moms ...(I couldn't hear what they were taking of mine) and hide it too. *I wish I knew what they said.*
S: Ya-that's a good plan. But I am still so sad. Only Scooby Doo and Chance are my favorites-not mom and dad
M: But Saige, Heavenly Father said that Jesus said love everyone (her favorite song). So you have to love mom and dad or they will be sad.
S: But I am so mad at them for taking my horse and cow
M: Don't worry Saige. You are my sister and I love you the best (which was SO nice to hear because M has been terrible to S lately)

Then they started making more silly plans and I came in here to hurry and type this all. Things got a bit rowdy again in there and it sounded like Madi was getting out of bed. So, I yelled from the office, "Madi-get back in your bed RIGHT NOW!"
She YELLED back, "I AM GIVING MY SISTER A HUG"!
It's hard to stay mad sometimes.

P.S. The following pictures will illustrate just how much Saige loves her cows. She tucks 2 of them in every night to her slippers and then sleeps with one in her bed.
