HAWAII

WARNING: LOTS OF PICTURES

Hawaii was AMAZING! Having the girls there made it SO much fun. They were excited about everything. We went snorkeling and they did pretty well-all of those lessons in the pool (that they did not love) really paid off! We had a very lazy vacation-laid by the beach and pool a lot. The girls' favorite thing that we did was the Luau. We were all very sad to have to come home.

On the airplane-I bet Madi asked a million questions. "What is this button for? How much longer? Can you turn my light on? When do they bring us snacks?" On the way back I couldn't get her to go to sleep because she was afraid she was going to miss the snack! She is her mother's daughter!!
Mia did NOT love her first encounter with the sand

Then she decided to taste it!

Which made her turn into a mermaid!...

Just like her mom :)

Mia just kept saying, "No No No No No No"
She didn't like Grandma's snorkel mask!

Lunch at "California Pizza Chicken" (inside joke) in Kailua
Luau Fun
Madi and Saige with "The Chief"
Grandpa wearing Grandma's pool hat. Good thing he doesn't ever look at this blog-he would kill me for putting this on here!!
Pali Lookout
Matsumoto's
We LOVE Matsumoto's. My favorite is Melona with Ice Cream, of course!
Laie Temple
One of the only requests for the trip that my girls had was that they wanted to drink coconut milk! It was nasty but they said they liked it and drank the whole thing.
Swinging with Grandpa at the Hotel

Ready for Church. We ended up in a ward where they spoke Samoan. We didn't understand a thing they said but it was fun.
A turtle (or a Sumo wrestler?)
Crab
I had to get on my dad's shoulders to take these pictures. They made it SO big!

My favorite picture from the whole trip.

Bookshelves

I found this cute idea online to make a book shelf out of rain-gutters. They were a lot cheaper than the ones I wanted to buy! They ended up being pretty cute and it is nice to be able to tell the girls to go read in their beds before bed. They are reading really well now.

Scott & Krista

My cousin Scott got married in Sacramento at the end of June. It was SO nice to have the wedding in California because I only had to drive 4 hours instead of 9. We had lots of fun hanging out with the Fam. I took lots of pictures so that I could send some to Chance. He and Scott are very close. He was sad to not be there, but he is LOVING Chile. He has been out 9 months now-crazy how time flies.

June

In June we were so lucky to have our cousins-Savannah and Hunter-come for a visit. We had lots of fun with them and did lots of fun activities: went to the movies, the park, took Hunter to drive a go cart, took Savannah to ride a horse, lots of swimming, and a trip to Sacramento.
Thanks for coming guys-come back soon!
We got this cute letter from Savannah a few weeks later.
