General Conference

Madi, Saige, and I were able to fly up for conference in October. It was so fun to spend time with my two oldest girls and my family. We had SO much fun. We were able to go see Rachel's new baby as well. The girls didn't know but Martha was at her house and it was such a fun surprise for them. We attended the Sunday afternoon session and it was so awesome to be there when my girls saw the conference center for the first time. It is such an amazing building.
Other things we did:
*Ate at Pf Changs (a tradition)
*Shopped at the city creek mall
*Visited my friend Nicole and saw her cute new house.
*Played games in the motel
*Stayed at the Little America (a new favorite)
*Rented a car and got stuck with a Ford Fiesta. The girls thought that was fun.
*Kids got balloon animals and their faces painted at Macys.
*Saw the movie Hotel Transylvania. I liked it even more than my kids. It is SO funny

Bailey found this last picture on Facebook and I thought it was SO funny. This was a historical conference because the missionary age was changed.

When it rains...

it pours. Glass that is.
We have had quite the week at our house. All four kids have had the pukes. Brett and I are exhausted. Sunday night neither Brett nor I slept at all. It was every 15 minutes. My washing machine ran nonstop for 36 hours and I'm still not caught up on all the laundry.
On Monday, Dalton woke up from his nap covered in vomit. It was everywhere. Much like the poop. I stripped him down in his crib and put him directly in the tub and told Saige to sit with him while I tried to clean his crib. I yelled from the bedroom, "wash his hair and then I will be in". She went to slide the glass shower panel open and I heard a LOUD crash. When I looked down the hall I saw tiny pieces of glass everywhere. And blood. Saige had no shoes on and her feet and her hands were bleeding. I picked her up, carried her through the outside door and told her to not move. She was saying she was sorry about the glass and I tried to tell her that I didn't care about it while I rushed back in to get Dalton. He was bleeding on his legs so I reached into the glass-filed tub, and carried him to the laundry room sink. I stood him up in it and sprayed the glass off of him while I was explaining to Madi that this was an emergency and she needed to call dad and tell him to come home immediately. I got the glass off and a diaper on(he still stunk but I didn't have any soap and I was worried about saige outside all by herself. I sent madi out with some flip flops for her and I put dalton back in the living room. Sydney was standing at the gate this entire time screaming. I made my way outside to find saige crying. She was still apologizing and she had some big cuts on her hands. I took her to my bathroom and stripped her down and put her in my shower. She couldn't get all of the glass out of her hair so I got in (fully dressed) and tried to help.
By the time we were done cleaning everything up it was several hours later. We are left counting our blessings that both kids weren't seriously hurt. It is amazing to me that they weren't. I told saige last night when I tucked her in bed that I saw a miracle today. With all the bad that has happened to us this week we are SO thankful that The Lord watches over and protects us.

Church

I thought after the last two stories about Dalton I had better make it clear that Syd isn't all pure and innocent herself. She's quite a stinker in fact. She is the bully of the two and LOVES to make her brother cry.
The story I wanted to remember has to do with last week at church. If you haven't had twins you can't fully imagine how difficult church is at this age. They cannot hold still or be quiet for more than 5 seconds and it's not like you can take turns. Each adult has a baby the entire time. Our goal is to make it through the sacrament, then we hit the halls and chase them around and around and around until it's over. Then, we load them in the car and I take them home. It's not that we don't want to stay. Brett has to teach his class during 3rd hour and it would be impossible for me to keep two babies from going through other peoples purses and playing the piano during the RS lesson. Well, last week we decided we would give staying another try. Brett didn't have to teach so we agreed that we would feed them lunch during Sunday School and then I would take Syd to RS and he would take Dalton to YM. Syd had already pooped so I sent Brett with the diaper bag.
Syd was being SO SO loud and naughty during the lesson so I found a granola bar in my purse and I was giving her tiny pieces so that it would last a long time. Right in the middle of the lesson she started choking and barfed ALL OVER. All over the floor, all down her dress. I had NOTHING to clean it up so I grabbed her and ran out of the room. I stripped her down and then went to find Brett. She was running the halls in her diaper and I opened the door and mouthed the words to Brett, "I NEED YOU NOW". It was a disaster. Sometimes I don't know why we even try.
We can't wait til December 20th. They will be 18 months then and able to go to the nursery. Poor nursery leaders...

He's at it again

I got a picture this time.
The quality isn't great because I was SO mad I couldn't stop shaking.
It was worse this time (didn't think it would be possible but it was). It was diarrhea too so that was fun. The smell was paralyzing. He must have done it and then was quiet for a LONG time because it was dry. Dried poop is much harder to wash off of walls, crib bars, carpet, books, binkies, clothes, sheets, and one very dirty boy.
Solution: he is no longer allowed in his crib unless wearing full piece pjs that he can't get out of.
Problem: it was 86 degrees today. Poor kid is going to roast in his winter pjs.
Yes. That is poop on his face. SO GROSS
