2016 4th of July Parade, program, and other festivities

The parade was fun but there was a dark cloud hanging over it. Chance, Mom, and Dad left as soon as it was over. In the U-haul headed for Florida. We are going to miss them SO much but we are so excited for them. They are going to love living in beautiful, sunny florida.

Parker taking his last ride. He left 2 days later for the MTC-Milan Italy Mission. We LOVE him!

Jade on the big one. He is NUTS!

Brett and Zac-high fives and knuckles.

He is so stinkin' cute. He is so funny with me-won't get near me and if I even make eye contact with him he hides his face. He loves me from a distance though!

Getting in a little time with Brinley before she moves 2,400 miles away :(
Riley singing "Battle Hymn of the Republic". It was beautiful.
Jade wanted to have some fun this year so he rigged up a redneck rope swing. It was pretty awesome! They had a few hiccups-the first rope broke and Shad is lucky he wasn't hurt.

Ashtin took this pic of me and the kids. I sure hope they realize what Independence Day is really about. I'm so grateful to everyone who has sacrificed so much so that we can live in a free country. I always think about my friend, Jaime Campbell, who died so young (along with so many others) so that we could live and worship how we choose. Dad bore his Testimony in Church on the 3rd and mentioned that he was at a ball game once and Dayna Torgerson's dad was watching the national anthem being sung and he leaned over and said to him, "I wonder how many people even realize what this means." We are so lucky to live in America.
These pictures are from the 3rd-after family pictures. We decided to play a round of cornhole.

Off to the races

Kenzie's family came over and brought Evie and Taft and the kids had so much fun playing with them. Her family is so awesome.

July 4th sleepover and breakfast

This year the 4th was very different for us because we live here now-it was so easy packing to go over to Great Grandma's because we had everything we needed down the street! It is always so much fun to be with all of the cousins. The girls slept on the tramp with Mia and the rest of us slept in the tent. I use the word 'slept' very loosely. I took some nighttime medicine to help me sleep since last year I laid awake the entire night. At 1 am Brett woke me to tell me that he didn't feel good and was going home. At 3:30 Dalton was thrashing around in his sleeping bag and I knew that he needed to pee. You should have seen me trying to pick him up and drag him across the air mattress-both of us half asleep. He was so out of it and didn't even realize that he needed to pee that he was totally fighting me. I finally got him to the door of the tent and told him to go. He started screaming (waking everyone up) telling me that he didn't need to go. After about 5 minutes of that he finally peed but was so mad at me he wouldn't get back in his sleeping bag. He laid on the tent floor and every time I tried to put a blanket over him he would kick it off and growl at me. This went on for a good 45 minutes. Then he got cold enough to get in bed with me. So that was fun!

He looks so innocent. Neither Dalton nor Sydney woke up with the dynamite. I don't know how they could. Joe, Jade, and Bryce lit some off right in the backyard.
 Scott and the chef (Grandma).
 Shad, Brett, Dalton, Dad, Mom
Syd on the tramp looking very patriotic
Ella, Madi, Saige, Mia, Quincy, Sadie
These girls sure have fun together and we are so glad we will get to see them more.
Dalton, Chase, and Tanner joined in for a pic.

Family Pictures July 3, 2016

Before Chance and Kenzie moved we needed to get some family pictures done. These are just the ones from our phones-we never actually got the real ones back. wierd. I'm not going to take the time to sort through them-I'm just posting them all.
LOVE MY FAMILY!

Everyone wanted a pic with chance since he is moving!
