Cutting Hay Summer 2016

With Chance gone someone had to cut the hay and since Dad and Jade were too busy I got to do it! I had never done it before and it is very different from driving a field cuber. It took me a little bit to get the hang of it but once I did I LOVED it! I hope they will let me do it again next year. The kids got to go with me a lot and here are some of the pictures they took while they were playing on my phone. I took a few of them too-something about the noise puts Dalton right to sleep!

Had to take a picture of the old potato pit. Not much left of it but I sure have some fond memories there.

Dalton and Syd are building a 'camp' out at mom and dad's office. They love to play there. Don't call it a fort-they get really mad!

If you look close you can see a whole bunch of lady bugs on the front of the cutter.
It was mesmerizing to me to see the birds hunt. As soon as they hear the cutter they all flock to the field and sit on the wheel lines and fences. Then as soon as I hit a mouse or critter of some kind they swoop down and grab it with their beaks. It is crazy to watch. One day I watched a hawk get a snake and take it back to the wheel line to eat.

Lunchbox pillow? Comfy!

School Shopping and Brinley's Visit-July 2016

At the end of July I took the girls up north to do a little school shopping. I wasn't sure how it would be with Syd but she was SO MUCH FUN! She loved everything about it. I think she might fit in more with Stef because she could have shopped til she dropped. She wanted to look at and try on everything. I grabbed a couple fun pics.

She is such a nut!
When we were done shopping we picked up Brinley. Jess met us at the mall and we took her home with us for the weekend. We were excited because it was the county fair and we wanted to take Brin to the rodeo since she loves horses so much.
We went over to the fair during the day and saw the reptile and bmx show. We had lunch there and the kids played some games.
EEEEWWWWW! I can't even express how much I HATE snakes!

The kids all won stuffed snakes at a game and they had fun playing with them.
Not sure what Brin is doing here?
We were sad though because there was a major downpour during the rodeo so we didn't make it over there. We still have a lot of fun though. Come back soon Brin!

Florida Trip-July 2016

These 2 pictures are from when Chance, Mom, and Dad drove the U-haul to Florida. They left on the 4th of July and had to hurry to get there. They did make one important stop in Louisiana!

A couple weeks later I got to fly with Kenzie and Brinley to Florida to check out their new place.
Little peanut was angel on the plane. I don't think she even made a peep the entire flight.
Kenzie had never had a pedicure before so we went exploring and found a nail salon that had good reviews. It was seriously the best pedicure I've ever had. AMAZING! While we were there it was raining outside and I asked the lady next to me if it rains there all of the time. She said "No-we are in THE WORST drought. We are so glad it is raining today". Kenz and I just looked at each other in disbelief. There is water everywhere there. Ponds, rivers, lakes, streams. Everywhere you look it is green and there is water. It was so funny. When I flew back into Las Vegas I looked around and it looked so desolate compared to Florida.

I told Chance I wanted to go exploring their new home so we did a lot of driving around. We found this cool statue by Sarasota. It is MASSIVE.
This picture is of the Ringling Brothers and Barnam and Bailey Circus museum. We didn't go in but might have to next time. Chance found out later that a guy in his ward is the guy who drives the motorcycle in the ball for that circus. The travel all over with their kids following the circus. CRAZY!
These next few pictures are of Chance's school. It is so beautiful.
There is a BIG alligator that lives in this pond. I looked hard but didn't see him.

We went for a walk-very humid in the summers-around this huge pond right by their apartment. There is a cool trail that goes all the way around. I was hoping to see a gator there too but didn't.

These guys are going to LOVE their time here. I have to admit-I'm a little jealous.

I told Brett I found him a place to work. HAHAHAHA!
We saw this place when we were picking up food from Culvers. We ate it while watching the rugby show 'Forever Strong'. I had never seen it before-really liked it.
When we flew in we flew into Orlando but I flew back out of Tampa. The airport is super nice and not super huge. Here is a bridge we drove over to get there. I think it's called the skyway.

I can't wait to go back!
