Vacation Day #5 and 6

We pretty much swam the whole week (and didn't get sick of it). In fact, by the time the week was over, some of us were wearing socks in the pool because we had been in so much that our feet were wrinkly and blistered! It was so much fun to have my family here. We have so much fun when we are together. Things are going to be different soon since my bro. Chance is headed to Chili on a mission. We are so excited for him but we will miss him very much!

Daredevils!

Oh yea, I forgot to mention that we ate alot too!

Vacation Day #4

Carrot Farming

Bakersfield is the carrot capital of the world so in addition to swimming, Dad and the boys went carrot farming. They went driving around and saw some guys out digging carrots. So, they pulled over and hopped on the machine with them. They were gone for a few hours so they must have had fun! They said that no one spoke English. I asked my dad how they communicated that they wanted to get on and ride. He said, "they figured it out when we climbed on!"

Vaction day #3

In additon to swimming, we spent the day being goofy! Handstands and swinging in the blanket were on the agenda. Of course, it had to end with a challenge from Jade, "See if you are strong enough to swing me"!

GO Stefi!

Here we go...

WHOOSH!

It always ends with getting thrown on the couch.

The Sequoias

Vacation Day #2 was a trip to the Sequoias! I have been there before but was amazed all over again at how big the trees really are!
My dad especially loved it since he recently got into the logging business. Too bad he can't just log a couple of these big boys-they'd have enough lumber for a really long time!
My dad is a tall guy and next to the trees he looked tiny!

The General Sherman is 275 ft. tall and is believed to be the largest tree in the world (in volume, not height). They say that 120 houses could be built from it-pretty amazing!

THE PRICE IS RIGHT!

This past week my whole family came down for a vacation. On vacation day #1, Shad, Stef, Chance, and I went to The Price is Right! We pulled an all-nighter (FYI-much harder to recover from than it was in college), leaving Bakersfield at 2 a.m. We arrived in Hollywood at CBS studios at 3:30 and camped out on the sidewalk to get our tickets. Taping didn't start until 1 p.m. so it made for a REALLY long day. It was so worth it though, even though we didn't get on. We all had such a blast. We had great seats (in the middle 4 rows back from Contestant's Row).
Inside the studio is so much smaller than it looks on T.V. It was shockingly smaller than I ever expected. Also, if you are like me and didn't care for Drew Carey as the host, you will be glad to know that he is HILLARIOUS in person. I love him as the host now. We are planning another trip for the fall and would like to get a big group together. It increases your chances of getting on if you are in a group. If you would like to go with us, let me know! The more the merrier!
Look for us on TV on October 16th!

7-UP WACK!

I found these old videos tonight and had to post them. What do you think? Could these win the big money on American's Funniest Home Videos? I am seriously considering sending them in.
