RS Valentine's Activity

The RS had a mother/daughter Valentines activity and it was so fun to hang out with my girls for the night. Syd was especially excited because she felt so included. She was loving EVERYTHING that we did.
They had a funny photo booth.
We iced and decorated heart shaped cookies to eat. Syd promised Dalton before we left that she would make him a Lightening McQueen cookie. He was very sad when she didn't come home with one.

They had these cute carousels on the table with all of the goodies to put on the cookies. I thought they were SO cute!
I couldn't love this picture more. I Love that the picture is upside down. Syd looks SO cute.

They also had some fun games with candy hearts, a card making table, and games. We had a great time.

Random pictures from January 2015

Syd LOVES these froggy pj's. She wants to be in them always and when they are dirty she is MAD!

Funny story about these next 3 pictures:
The kids love it when we tell them stories about when we were little. One night I told them about when I was taking dance lessons from Sandy Eldridge. I can't remember how old I was-probably 1st or 2nd grade. We were in our lesson one day we started to smell something electrical. Sandy stopped the music and went to check it out. She came back and said that she couldn't find anything. A few minutes later we could see smoke so we all ran outside. A few minutes after that we could see flames. We watched our dance studio burn almost to the ground. The firefighters came and Ricky Cannon came to pick us up and see if we were ok. Ashley and I sat in the back of the car watching and cried. It was very scary for us.
Anyway...a few days later Dalton brought me something he had built and he was trying to explain to me what it was. It took me a long time to figure out what he was saying. He was telling me that he rebuilt my dance studio that had burned down.

LOVE THIS BOY!
Cutie Pie!
We had a ward game night and took funny pictures. It was funny! Dalton didn't want to put any of the things on.

D & S fell asleep while we were waiting for Saige to get done with piano lessons. Never good when they fall asleep at 5 pm.
One Sunday afternoon we decided we needed to get out of the house (we were sick) and we decided to walk/bike/skate down the road. We didn't make it very far before everyone was tired. The little ones wanted to head back. The wind picked up and I ended up piggy backing Syd all the way back home. Not fun to be sick.

This road is not too far from our house. We think it is a sign that Tom & Kelsi need to move here!

AAU Bball-January 2015

We signed the girls up for basketball this winter. It was very eye-opening and an interesting experience. I think they had fun but it was SO MUCH more competitive than we expected. The girls on their team have been playing together for years so we were a bit behind but they caught on quick and improved a ton. We really liked their coach-coach Hiler. She was great at teaching them and being patient.

Most of their tournaments were through Crash the Boards in Boise so we spent a lot of weekends driving back and forth on Friday and Saturday.

Dalton and Syd didn't care much for the the long days of basketball games!

They were the best team there and won every tournament. Madi and Saige liked winning every time. They have lots of medals!

Another win.
