California Trip-Day 1 Bakersfield

Day 1 was actually when we got in REALLY late Saturday night. Most of these pictures are from Sunday. We went to church (which was so fun to see everyone but SO hard). It felt so normal to be back in church will all of those people that we love so dearly. WE LOVE THE STOCKDALE WARD!
Then we hung out at Richard and Laurels, had a BBQ with them and the Anthes family, and went over to see the Divelbiss's new house. I will try to explain from the pictures below what we did that day.
Laurel had this on our board when we arrived.
This is my dream home (one of them). It's in Moon Ranch. I had to take a few pictures of it. It is in the most beautiful spot and has some really cool features. I've never seen the inside but the outside is beautiful.

We were pretty worn out before we even got there with all of the traveling and the funeral and all.
We drove by our home. It made me extremely sad. Especially when I looked through the back gate and saw that they tore out all of our peach trees, grapevines, and garden. I'm still mad about it.

Chillin' at our 2nd home with our 2nd family.

LOVE these kids.

Grandma & Grandpa Phillips gave this to Richard and Laurel one year for Christmas and I couldn't love this quote more. Reminds me of my dad.

Dalton trying on T-Bone's baseball equipment!

We spent some time visiting Amanda and Dean so that the girls could see their chickens that they left there. Unfortunately the only ones still alive were Beauty, Big Red, and Red Head. The girls LOVED spending time with them again (and playing with Amanda's other animals too).

Dalton spent most of his time with Jamie

Cindy made these sugar cookie bars for the BBQ and I think I ate the whole pan. They were SO good!
We couldn't have a visit without having a few Rook games.

Thankfully the girls ended our loosing streak!
