July Utah Trip (Midway)

Here's our Utah trip. Thanks Kelsi for letting me steal this post. I left it in her words...
Remund Family Reunion {Pt. 1}

Saturday, June 30, 2012

Saturday my brother's family drove from California to spend 3 days in Midway with us. It was so fun to get together with everyone and enjoy one another. We had a lot of fun things planned. We got together for lunch at my mom's house. We headed to the Avon Movie Theatre in Heber and saw the new Disney movie Brave. It was a cute movie. Rachel cracks me up- she took a picture of all of us before it started. It was packed and she didn't care ha ha. Tom was nice enough to let me go and he stayed home with Charli, not like he wanted to see that movie anyways ha ha. After the movie we headed to pick Tom up and got some ice cream at the Kohler Creamery. It was really good as usual. For dinner we went to Jessica's house for a big BBQ. It was delicious and the cousins had fun playing together. After dinner we headed to the Pyper's house to let the kids ride the horses. Hollis was one of my best friends growing up and her parent's were like my second parent's and coached me from 2nd grade to high school in basketball. Sue was so nice to let each kid ride the horse and take them around the arena. I know the kids had a blast. Saige was most excited and her, Madi and Brin are obsessed with horses. Charli got to ride a horse for the first time. She didn't even squirm or cry. She just sat there like a little cowgirl. I think I got a picture of each kid who rode the horse. I sure loved having little cousins for Charli to play with again. Its always fun when my whole family is together.

Here are some pictures of the day.

Remund Family Reunion {Pt. 2}
Sunday, July 1, 2012 - Monday Morning

The older kids had a sleep over at Jessica's house. Then Jessica braided the girls hair for church. We all went to my mom's ward together for sacrament meeting. I love how cute the girls look for church. At church my mom got up to bear her testimony to express how much she loved our family and the gospel. It was such a nice testimony. When she sat down she started to have chest pain and arm pain. She had been having chest pain a couple days prior to this as well but hadn't told any of us. She ended up going to the ER to have some tests done in Heber and they rushed her in the ambulance to the hospital in Provo. It was really scary for all of us to go through this including my mom. My mom is the best woman I know and I can't imagine our lives without her. After lots of tests and my mom spending the night at the hospital in Provo they confirmed it was a mild heart attack. Me, Rachel, Jessica, Brett and my Dad drove down Sunday night to be with her during all of it. I am so glad everything is ok now, I love my mom so much.

I didn't get hardly any pictures on Sunday but Monday morning we woke up and went down on the farm. We took the kids down to the treehouse, the fort in the barn, on the tractor, to see the calves and to shoot Brett's new BB gun he got for the girls. It was fun taking the kids around and they loved it. Makes me miss my farm and how it use to be.

Not so sure about the baby calves.

Best fort ever. I spent lots of time up here growing up. I even had a bucket and pulley that I rigged up.

Many hours were spent in this treehouse as a child. I lovedddd it.

Charli playing with Hunter. He was so cute with her the whole time.

Remund Family Reunion {Pt. 3}
Monday, July 2, 2012

We spent the afternoon playing in the water at Jessica's house and then went down to the "Tarzan Tree" for the kids to go on the rope swing and float down the canal. They all had a blast. The pictures show it all. That night we had my parents 60th Birthday Party planned, more to come on that.

LOVE this picture. Tarzannnnnn.

This girl can climb like a monkey. She climbed to the top of the rope!

Remund Family Reunion {Pt. 4}

Monday, July 2, 2012

Monday night we had a 60th birthday party planned for my parents but we had decided to cancel it and just do a low key party at the house for family instead (due to Mom's heart attack). Well around 4 p.m. my mom started having a ton of swelling down where they had gone up to do her heart catheterization and so she had to go back over to the ER to be tested. Come to find out she had a big hematoid full of blood where it was swelling. She was told to stay down and rest and hope that it would go down. She didn't get back from the hospital until 10 p.m. that night. That didn't stop us from doing the party! We had it catered by my parents best friends. We all ate and enjoyed one another. After that we had a program planned of singing, dancing and playing the piano. When 10 p.m. came around we were all ready to have cake with my parents and do the program. It turned into a really nice evening together with lots of tears shed. Sure love my parents and am so thankful for them in my life. Enjoy lots of photos!

The food was AMAZING!

Aunt Peggy and Aunt Debbie

Aunt Claudia and Uncle Phillip

Uncle Ed and Uncle Paul

Crazy Girl!

These 3 Crazy babies were so funny together. I love them! We were all starving so we put the 3 of them in the crib upstairs together so we could take turns watching them as the others ate! It was funny seeing them stuck in the crib with no room to move.

Love my family!

The Salazar's came to check on my mom but she wasn't back yet.

Mckenna and Denise

Cute girls matching

Pictures of the Program. Lots of musical numbers for grandma and grandpa Remund.

These 4 had planned a special Happy Birthday Number.

Jess is amazing at the piano - professional. She had us all crying.

Love these two.

Opening Gifts.

Brett ended the night with a really nice speech about my parents and all of the wonderful things they have done. We finished with our favorite song we grew up singing with Dad. The 4 siblings had a nice time acting it out ha ha!

"You get a leg from some old table"

"You get an arm from some old chair"

"You get a neck from some old bottle"

"And from a mop you get some hair, you get some hair"

"And you put them all together, with the aid of string and glue. But I'll get more love from a dumb old dumby than I'll ever get from you! Get out and walkkkkkkk....." ha ha don't even ask about it.

Birthday Couple

We ended the night singing my Dad's favorite song "The Least of These." Always end up crying.

Jessica had made a really cute Memory book for everyone to write their favorite memories of Mom and Dad. She also decorated the piano with pictures of my parents growing up. It was really fun seeing them all.

HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST PARENTS IN THE WORLD! WE LOVE YOU!!
