I was SO thankful that Brett could get time off for the 4th. I had promised the girls that we would go last year (we hadn't been for 3 years in a row) but I didn't plan on having twins 2 weeks before! All I heard last year (in between sobs) was, "but you promised we could go this year"!
We love the 4th in CV and we had so much fun spending time with family. The girls and I slept out with all of the cousins at Grandma and heard the dynamite. We went to the parade, played games at the school, went to the program at the school where you can't hear anything and it is 500 degrees, we drank Grandma's homemade root beer, and watched the fireworks.
It was a great day until Brett starting feeling sick around dinner time and he ended up throwing up the next two days. Well, we all (just my little family) got it, brought it home to Bakersfield, and it lasted 3 weeks. It was the worst flu ever. I was so glad that I had Madi and Saige because there were two days that I was incapable of taking care of the babies-they did everything. They are the best two helpers any mother could ask for.

New BB Gun
My Mom, Stef, and I were able to throw a double bridal shower for my two new sisters-in-law (Bailey and Kenzie). Shad was AWESOME as our "Newlywed Game" Host. He is So much fun and made the shower so much fun.

I love all the festive outfits. SO nice you were able to go home for the 4th. Sorry you all ended up sick. That is the worst! I hate throwing up. Shad is HILARIOUS. Love his outfit.
