Michigan!

After we left the Christmas Story House we headed for Michigan. We couldn't get that close and not go see Kelsi!

This is us crossing into Indiana. I love that we were in 3 different states in 4 days. I want to see all 50 before I die :)
I stole this pictures off of Kelsi's blog-thanks Kelsi! Her pics are always better than mine.
Brett and Avery have a special connection. I love it!
It wasn't the best timing since they already had Tom's brother's family visiting but they were so nice and fun to be with.
Kelsi made us a very yummy Thanksgiving dinner!
We had a fire and roasted marshmallows.

I can't remember which game we were watching but Brett looks really stressed out!
 Such cute girls!
Our stay wasn't nearly long enough!

Christmas Story House Nov 2016

On our way out of Cleveland we stopped at the Christmas Story House. I was so excited! It was so fun to see all of the memorabilia and be in the house where a lot of it was filmed. I had to laugh-as we pulled up and parked a guy getting out of his car next to us said to me, "can you believe I drove all the way from Cincinnati to see this?" I said, "well I'm from Utah so I've got you beat"! He couldn't believe it!

I mean...Brett and Natalie :)

"Do you know what Ralph just said?"

I loved all of the old stuff in the house.

Kirtland OH-November 2016

Since we were in Ohio, we decided to drive up and spend a day with Kolby and Ali who live in Cleveland. It was so fun to see them again-it had been too long. They took us to Kirtland. I wish we could have spent more time there. It was such a beautiful place. We went to the Newel K. Whitney store and to a couple other places. We got there too late to go inside the Temple but we walked around it at nigh. Nothing like our Temples, which are so well groomed and lit up at night.

My favorite part was being in the room where the School of the Prophets was held. There was a great spirit there. Kolby and Ali's stake center is in Kirtland so they live close and get to go there all of the time. I was such a fun place. We ate dinner at a little gourmet pizza place there that was so yummy! Then they took us to get THE BEST ICE CREAM I'VE EVER HAD (Mitchell's Ice Cream). Seriously craving some right now!
