4th Sleepover and Breakfast

I was so glad that the kids and I could be there this year (Brett had to work-we missed him)
Stef and I and our kids slept on the tramp. It was quite the experience with D & S. They were so cute but we were up really late-I actually never fell asleep. It was the weirdest thing-next time I'm taking something to knock me out!! There were lots of bats flying around and the dynamite was as loud as ever. In fact, Bryce was lighting it this year and he lit one right in Grandma's backyard. I didn't know if my ears would ever recover!

This pic is of Stef and Mia after they woke up:) They were cold and went in the house for a few more minutes of sleep.
Grandpa coming out to survey the damage!
Chance, Kenzie, Ashtin, Dillon, Loni
This is the area of Grandma's yard that we call the "birches". Those two bushes in front are lilacs-I love to go to her house when all of her lilac bushes are in blossom.
Anyway...this is where we eat every year-out in the birches.

Madi and Syd.
Syd
Grandpa, Grandma, Shad, and Stef. It looks like Grandpa is throwing up or something but I think he's just trying to get up.
Mom and Dad.
Dillon. I'm sure he is thinking, "What have I married into?"!
Cousins having fun on the trap.
Ruth in one of Grandma Henrie's famous aprons. How did those girls around her get so grown up? It seems like they should be little still.

Stefs Baby Shower

On July 3rd we had a baby shower for Stef. She is having a boy, due in august and we are all very excited!
It worked out perfectly to have it then because I knew that almost everyone would be home for our annual Independence Day family reunion. So it was more like a big family party than a baby shower. So fun!
Cousins!
Joe trying out the unicycle.
Stef, Shad and Mia playing the shower game

More cousins
We played, "do you want the baby to have moms eyes or dads eyes, personality, singing ability, toes, etc."
it was fun but the three of them matched most of the time. When they didn't, they had to put some cry baby gum in their mouths.
Holly, Ashtin, dad, and mom
Krista, jason, and Denise
Grandma-not sure what she is doing in this pic!
Joe, Lon, and Macy

Gavin telling a story.
Allie and Collin.

It was so much fun to have so many people there!!
I wish I would have taken a picture of all of the yummy food. It was delish! We had chicken salad sandwiches on grandmas rolls, banana bread, banana cake, veggie tray, Ruth's girls made homemade suckers, limeade, rice crispies, o'henry bars, etc.

West Y Meet-June 2014

On Saturday, June 28 the girls and I headed to Meridian to the swim meet. The girls did well (don't have the final results yet). The YMCA has a very nice facility and it was nice to not be out in the heat. I was able to get a babysitter (Ashley Sessions) so I didn't have to entertain the little ones all day in the bleachers.

I love watching the girls come off of the blocks!
After the meet we went to Noodle's and Co. for lunch. It's the girls' new favorite place to eat. Then we went to craft warehouse, which is my new favorite!

D and S 3rd Birthday!

Dalton and Sydney's 3rd Bday!
Dad had to go away for the weekend to a vet conference in Yosemite (he had to speak at it), so he wasn't there on the actual day. These are the pictures of the kids waving goodbye from their bikes.

We did play dough outside.

and ran through the sprinklers. We learned that Dalton only like to play in the water if he is in charge of the hose. He LOVES to spray people but HATES being sprayed.

The water was pretty cold so the kids didn't last long.
These cute girls helped me make the cake and thank Heavens they did-it took much longer than I thought it would to stick all those M&M's on!

The girls loved reading their cards to them.

The cute chairs they are sitting in were from Martha. SO CUTE.
Opening presents. Syd looks very intense.

Frank-from the movie cars-was the only thing he wanted. It was not easy to find.
We invited our friends (the Laing's and Lichdi's) over for cake and ice cream that Sunday when Brett got home. I still can't believe my littles are 3. And since I'm so behind on this I can't believe they are almost 4! YIKES!
