Remund Ramblings

Christmas 2015

We were so lucky to get to go to Vegas to spend Christmas with my entire family. Lucky to be all together and blessed that my mom was well enough to be with us! These pictures are in random order and I am too behind on this blog to try to rearrange them so I will just leave them. The first night we were there Shad bought us all dinner at a fun restaurant called Nacho Daddy's. Delish!

This picture is from the mall. These girls have SO much fun together.

Brett flew in on December 23 so it was just the kids and I on the drive there. We stopped in St. George for some Pizza Factory breadsticks-YUM! We did spend a couple days in Circleville on our way there. The kids hadn't been there since the 4th of July so it was so nice to be able to be there for a bit.

Stef has a really fun park right by her house. I love that these kids get along so well!

Mom still didn't feel great but she looked a million times better than when I was home in November.

We shopped for a family in need at the mall. The kids all got to pick something out for the kids in the family.

My favorite was when we had a stuffed animal (the one Bailey is holding below) picked out at Kohls and Dalton was holding it and asked me what it was for. I told him that it was for a family who didn't have any money. The next thing I knew he walked up to a guy in the store and said, "Here you go"!

It was hilarious. The guy was super confused. And Dalton was too!

We ate lunch at Cafe Zupas (MY FAVORITE!) and we were all cracking up at Jade. He kept saying, "this soup is delicious but I can't even enjoy it because the spoons are so deep"!

Every time we are at Zupa's now we send him pictures of the spoons.

Dad took all of the kids at the mall while we finished up some quick shopping. He let them ride the train a ton! He is such a good Grandpa!

I didn't get one of them all looking at the same time so I guess I will post them all!

The night of the 23rd all of the adults went to P.F. Changs and did a fun gift exchange. We played the present game instead of giving each other presents or drawing names. It was A BLAST! We are very competitive and we were fighting over some of them. We had a great time. Chance ended up with these awesome grinch boxers. They had hidden money in them though! Brett's flight was late and he missed most of the evening but he did show up-he took a cab and met us there. I was glad he made it! We also had a very fun waiter (Laurence). We had a private room and he was really fun. It was like he was there just to hang out with us.

Shad always pays the kids to rub his feet. He loves it and they love the money!

Poor Uncle Powell-he had to be on call Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. But his loss was our gain. He got to come and hang out with us. It was so much fun to have him there. Syd even sent him a letter a few months later thanking him for spending Christmas with us. It was so cute.

All of our elves were there too! Jack followed us to Vegas!

Stef had such a fun Christmas Eve planned for us. She was so sweet and ordered me a cheesecake from the cheesecake factory for my birthday. Then she had a whole program planned with a story, music, and had MADE pajamas for ALL of us that she had us find in a treasure hunt. They were SO cute!

These were our treasure hunt clues:

On the morning of Christmas Eve the guys went out to this cool shooting range in Bolder City. It was like a golf course where you drive around on a golf cart to different stations and shoot skeet. They had a big competition and Dad won. Jade was 2nd. These 3 brought up the rear and had to preform for us, "I'm a little teapot". The kids thought it was hilarious. Oh who am I kidding? We all did!

I had spent the entire year putting all of our old family home videos on DVD and gave them to everyone on Christmas. Then we watched a highlight reel in Stef's theater. It was great.
Other random things that happened:
Chance and Bailey and I went to pick up lunch at In-and-Out and we witnessed a major road rage fight. I honestly thought that someone was going to kill someone. One lady got out her tire iron and was threatening the other person with it. It was a little crazy because we were right behind them in the drive-thru with no where else to go.

We left Vegas Christmas Day to go see Brett's parents in Hurricane and got to stay there for a couple days. It was so fun to be with them. We played Rook and opened presents, went to the movies, and spent time together. I didn't take very many pictures but did snap this one of us with Dave in Martha and Roy's ward. He just got re-married and happens to be in their ward. It was fun for the kids to see him.
