San Diego trip Day #2-Lego Land

We had a surprise for the kids when we got to the motel. Stef, Shad and Mia were there to spend a few days with us! We had a great time at Legoland. It was fun to see all of the big things made out of legos. Dalton still talks about it. He loved it more than the rest of us.

Even though these girls are 4 years apart they act like triplets-they get a long so well! Mia is almost as tall as them so sometimes we forget they are so far apart.

The mini-Las Vegas

San Diego Trip Day #1

The weekend before the big move we decided we needed to take the kids to San Diego since they hadn't been for awhile. We wanted to go to Sea World and Lego Land before we moved so far away. Day 1 was the drive and we spent a couple of hours at the beach before checking in to our motel.

The beautiful San Diego temple. I took these while driving down the freeway so they aren't great.

This one makes it look like the Spires are blue-but they are not!

My kids LOVE the beach and I am so sad we moved away from it.

It was so cold but they ended up in the water anyway. We didn't even have a towel!

3rd Grade Patriotic Program

Right before the big move was the patriotic program for the 3rd grade. It was a lot of fun.

It was hard seeing all of their friends' parents for the last time though. The girls had some really great friends-good kids-and it was hard to leave them. 

It was a good time to get some pictures with their teachers and friends that they miss dearly.

I had a better copy of the program somewhere but I can't find it but I wanted to include this because Saige had a small speaking part. Funny story-after the program Madi came up to me very upset. She said, "Every time I looked down at you, you weren't watching me. It's because I didn't have a speaking part isn't it?" If she hadn't been so upset I would have burst out laughing. She was upset that Saige got a part and she didn't. She is very sensitive sometimes. 

February 2014 haircut

Wow. Dalton needed a haircut BAD! And since we don't live by Stef or Kenzie I decided it was time to take him to the local super cuts.

Syd needed her bangs trimmed too.

They did pretty good sitting still. They were very excited that their prize was a sucker.
