Brett and the girls had already been skiing a couple times before this but this was the first time for Dalton and Syd. We met Randall and Melissa at Soldier resort and had a great day. I was really nervous-I didn't know how it would be with D&S but they did SO GREAT! They had only been on the slopes for 1 hour and a lady at the bottom of the hill asked how many years they had been skiing. She couldn't believe that this was their first time.
Getting dressed and ready is the worst part-it seems to take forever!

Dalton was cracking us up-and was embarrassing us a little! He would not stop eating the snow. It wasn't too clean either. He kept holding up the magic carpet because he was scooping up snow in his glove and licking it off. He just kept talking about how much he loved eating the snow.

The other thing that happened that day was that I went up the big hill and as I got there (I haven't skied in YEARS) I remembered that I cannot stop. So I headed down the hill and I am not kidding-it felt like I was in the olympics in the downhill event. I was FLYING. It was terrifying! I seriously thought I was going to break something when I crashed-and I did crash-hard. It was totally embarrassing!
