Church

I thought after the last two stories about Dalton I had better make it clear that Syd isn't all pure and innocent herself. She's quite a stinker in fact. She is the bully of the two and LOVES to make her brother cry.
The story I wanted to remember has to do with last week at church. If you haven't had twins you can't fully imagine how difficult church is at this age. They cannot hold still or be quiet for more than 5 seconds and it's not like you can take turns. Each adult has a baby the entire time. Our goal is to make it through the sacrament, then we hit the halls and chase them around and around and around until it's over. Then, we load them in the car and I take them home. It's not that we don't want to stay. Brett has to teach his class during 3rd hour and it would be impossible for me to keep two babies from going through other peoples purses and playing the piano during the RS lesson. Well, last week we decided we would give staying another try. Brett didn't have to teach so we agreed that we would feed them lunch during Sunday School and then I would take Syd to RS and he would take Dalton to YM. Syd had already pooped so I sent Brett with the diaper bag.
Syd was being SO SO loud and naughty during the lesson so I found a granola bar in my purse and I was giving her tiny pieces so that it would last a long time. Right in the middle of the lesson she started choking and barfed ALL OVER. All over the floor, all down her dress. I had NOTHING to clean it up so I grabbed her and ran out of the room. I stripped her down and then went to find Brett. She was running the halls in her diaper and I opened the door and mouthed the words to Brett, "I NEED YOU NOW". It was a disaster. Sometimes I don't know why we even try.
We can't wait til December 20th. They will be 18 months then and able to go to the nursery. Poor nursery leaders...

You need to keep record of the life and times of Dalton and Sydney. Wow, aren't you glad for the inspired nursery program of the church. Lookout - here comes the Remund twins.

Oh my gosh.... Brett was telling me this last night. That is crazy. I was just telling him that even with one baby I tell Tom to take her home to nap because he just stands in the hall the whole time. I am counting down the days til December 9th! That is scary she choked to...

I would just take them now! I guess it depends on your nursery, but H started going at 16 months and the leaders were fine with it because our nursery was really small (like 4 kids).
Nat, you need a vacation!!!
