My Mom

I don't even know where to start telling you about my mom. I guess the most important thing for you to know is that she is the BEST MOM EVER. Hands down. No one can compete. She is seriously an angel in disguise. I would never dare have a baby without her around.
Before Stef had Mia she told me, "let's have a baby together"!
I said, "absolutely not"!
She acted offended and asked why not. I told her that I would NOT share mom with her. When I have a baby (or two in my case) I want her all to myself. She thought about that for a minute and decided she didn't want to share mom with me either during that time. We agreed that we could never have kids the same age!!!
When we had Madi and Saige, my mom came to Pullman several times to take care of us. She left my dad and brothers home to fend for themselves-with a fridge full of taco soup (inside joke)!
This time she came a few days before they were born and stayed the entire month of July. She pretty much took care of Sydney all by herself. She was up almost 24/7 with her and held her upright on her chest to relieve some of the reflux discomfort. They have a special bond.

The day my dad came to pick her up was a VERY sad day. I cried and cried and cried. Just like I did when she left me alone with Madi and Saige.

She is such a trooper. After she left my house (after a month with no sleep), she drove to Wyoming with my Dad to Martins Cove for youth conference and hiked a TON. I don't know how she was physically able to do all of this-she is so much stronger than me.Then she came home to a major flood which ruined everything they owned that was in the basement. They were so sad but after a glimpse of what the pioneers went through they had a pretty good perspective. She kept saying, "it's just stuff".
She has such a good attitude through all of her trials. She rarely complains and always recognizes the Lord's hand in her life. She is a wonderful example and we all love her so much. There are no words to say it well enough so for now we will just say:
THANK YOU!

Your Mom is the best Natalie and it was a labor of love for her to stay that long..You will be doing the same kinds of things for your own children down the road and be able to pay it forward. That is what love and charity is all about.
