WHOOOPSY!

Yesterday the girls were out in the front yard riding their bikes up and down the sidewalk. The weather was so nice and we all wanted to be outside. I was sitting in a chair on the front porch working on the laptop when Madi rode on the sidewalk in front of the house next door. Our neighbor was out in her driveway getting something out of her car. Madi was ridding by her and waived and said, "Hello".
Our neighbor said hello back and turned around to walk back in her house. Madi turned her bike right around and when she got in front of our house she YELLED up to me, "Hey Mom-our neighbor isn't mean".
Well, my neighbor wasn't to her front door yet so she OBVIOUSLY heard. I am on the porch with my finger up to my lips trying to tell her to SHUT UP! When she saw me do this she said even louder, "But Mom, she's not"!!!!

Here I am, worried about the kinds of things my girls are learning from other kids at school when really I should be worried about the things they are learning at home!

Good one Nat....I love it. Kids just tell it like it is. Madi just doesn't hold back, does she? I've had a few of those experiences myself over the years. Enjoy it and make sure you write it in your journal.

That is hilarious! I love that kids don't have an inner dialogue to screen stuff through. Whatever they are thinking comes out...usually at the wrong times. Hopefully your neighbor won't think it came from you!
